I like to read, and am learning new things all the time. I love trees, benches, desserts, long walks and leisurely discussions about everything under the sun (and beyond.)

I’ve written 17 books for children, published in the United States and in India.

For grown-ups, I’ve written award-winning short stories, and essays on travel, science, culture and lifestyle. I also wrote a fortnightly kidlit column for a top Indian daily, and freelance with a US-based science education platform for children.

I grew up in Bangalore, India, and I now live in Northern California, USA.

Come on in, and have a look around. I would love to hear from you.
